This evolutive and multilingual webdocumentary takes you on a immersive trip: sound pictures from contemporary ports where times encounter with cultures and languages. Through the markets, the marine harvests, the navigation techniques, The commercial and spiritual exchanges.
In the beginning, there was a call. The call of the offshore and the distant lands, the deep desire to set sail, away from the occidental day-to-day, to meet these men and women from elsewhere. for ten years, get on the roads of traditional cultures, so rich and precious that they fertilized our modernity: these powerful rites about to disappear, medicines desired by occidentals, trance  joined by electronic music, mixes between arts and languages across the South. Sisygambis has worked on collecting them, making them interact and testify, with her own musical & images compositions. A contribution to the universal immaterial heritage with digital multimedia creations.
Through time, Arabs were a constant influence along these roads. That is why the Institut du monde arabe (Paris) teamed up with Christine Coulange - Sisygambis to restore, with this webdocumentary, a respectful vision of the peoples, of their roots and their present days. But it is also tinted with experiments: the images and sounds recorded and sampled are mixed in interaction with the musical compositions of Sisygambis.
